80 years of peace (80 jaar vrede)

“80 years of peace!?” is an exhibition poject on the Dutch German border. The project was made possible by financial contributions from EUREGIO Gronau, Stadt Gronau and the crowdfunding construction by the province of Overijssel.
Organisation: Rob Chevallier (curator, organisator, project manager) in collaboration with Stichting Nieuwe Twentse Kunst: Menno Ouderkerk, organisator, Kees Heemskerk (curator), Kunstenmakers (Enschede) and EMS Side Gallery (Rheine).
The participating artists are:
Carel Lanters, Léon Marie Dekker, Ole Nieling, Hettie Eleleonora Koning, Stefan Demming, Josef Lenz,
Julius Reinders, Dorothea Nold

The artists made installations on the central exhibition grounds in Gronau plus 8 objects at border crossings in the area between Enschede and Ootmarsum. Two cycle routes (each ca. 50 kilometres) connect the locations of the artworks. The exhibition will start on 8 May and ends on 20 July.
